1. Introduction & Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Mooidev Ltd (“Movari,” “we,” “us”), based in Mauritius, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data through the Movari mobile app and web dashboard (the “Service”).
Movari is launching in beta with clubs in Mauritius, with plans to expand internationally. This policy is written to grow with us, but as we enter new markets — particularly the EU/UK — we recommend a legal review to confirm compliance with local requirements (e.g. GDPR).

2. Information We Collect
- Account & profile data: name, email address, password (stored hashed via Supabase Auth), profile avatar photo.
- Club & activity data: Club memberships, meeting and event RSVPs, attendance check-ins, and attendance streaks.
- Content you provide: messages or posts within Clubs, event details used to generate AI adverts, and — as features roll out — photos and voice notes captured during meetups.
- Location data (planned feature): GPS route data during a tracked activity, only if you grant location permission; approximate location used for venue/place search via Google Maps.
- Device & usage data: device type and OS, app version, crash and log data, IP address.
Movari is currently free to use, so we do not currently collect payment information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Operate core features: Clubs, meetings, events, RSVPs, and check-ins.
- Personalize your experience, like your Club dropdown and home screen.
- Generate suggested AI event adverts (see Section 4).
- Send transactional emails — invites, confirmations, reminders — via our email provider.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- Communicate service updates and respond to your requests.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. AI Processing Disclosure
When a Club Admin creates an event, Movari may send the event details they provide (such as title, description, date, and location) to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate a suggested advertisement. Only the event information needed for that purpose is sent — avoid including sensitive personal information in event descriptions.
Anthropic processes this data under its own API terms and privacy commitments. We do not use your personal Club or member data to train third-party AI models.
5. Third-Party Service Providers

Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver their service to us, under contractual data protection obligations.
6. International Data Transfers
Because our infrastructure runs in Singapore and Ireland, your data may be transferred outside Mauritius. Where required under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017, we take steps to ensure such transfers have adequate protection.
As Movari expands beyond Mauritius — including into the EU/UK — we intend to apply GDPR-consistent safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to these transfers where applicable.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we’ll delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain it for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 — and, for users in regions with similar frameworks (such as GDPR), equivalent rights — you can:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request a portable copy of your data.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

9. Children's Privacy
Movari is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If we learn we’ve collected such data, we’ll delete it promptly — contact help@getmovari.com if you believe this has happened.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords via Supabase Auth, access controls, and row-level security policies on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
11. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Our web dashboard may use cookies and similar technologies — for example, to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. The mobile app uses local device storage for similar purposes rather than browser cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect functionality.
12. Changes to This Policy & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as Movari’s features and markets grow. We’ll notify you of material changes through the app or by email and update the effective date above.
